HOOFGOLD HCE hoof cleaner is a high-quality hoof-care emulsion for horses designed for thorough cleaning of the hoof, sole and frog. The hoof cleaner supports daily hoof care, hoof hygiene and frog care and is particularly suitable for preparing the hoof for further care - including hooves affected by thrush, White Line Disease (white line disease), brittle horn or horn degradation processes.

Thorough cleaning is especially important for hooves affected by thrush, decay of the frog and sole, soft horn or damaged hoof horn. HCE helps to remove dirt and deposits and creates a clean foundation for the subsequent application of hoof balm, hoof oil, BlueStuff or Hornpads.

HCE is used as a bath additive or to create foam on the hoof. Its use supports thorough basic cleaning and optimally prepares the hoof for subsequent hoof care. Especially for hooves affected by thrush, White Line Disease or decay in the frog area, a clean foundation is often an important part of further care.

Recommendation

To support the subsequent application of hoof balm, hoof oil or other hoof-care products, we recommend using HCE regularly for the basic cleaning of the hoof. This thoroughly cleans the hoof and optimally prepares it for further care.

D seal / Anti-doping tested

HOOFGOLD HCE hoof cleaner bears the recognized D seal. This means that the product has been tested for doping-relevant ingredients and complies with ADMR requirements. HCE is therefore also suitable for horses competing in equestrian sports.

1. Prepare the hoof (very important!)

Before applying HCE, the hoof must be thoroughly cleaned.

Here's how to prepare it optimally:

• Thoroughly pick out the hoof
  
• Completely remove loose material, deeply embedded dirt and manure
  
• If the hoof is very wet: allow it to dry briefly
  

Only a clean hoof allows HCE to work optimally.

2. Apply HCE correctly

• Apply HCE directly to the cleaned hoof.
  
• It's best to use a brush for this.
  

Note:

When rubbed in, HCE begins to foam slightly - this is completely normal and intentional.

The foam ensures that anaerobic bacteria come into contact with oxygen, which significantly reduces them.

3. Do not rinse off!

Many customers ask about this:

HCE must NOT be rinsed off.

Simply apply and allow it to take effect.

4. Allow the product to take effect

After application:

• Approx. 3 minutes allow it to absorb before the horse goes back
  – into the stall
  – to the paddock
  – or goes out to the pasture.
  

If you combine HCE with other Hoofgold products (e.g. Blue Stuff):

• Also wait approximately 3 minutes until the foam has disappeared.
  
• Only then apply the next product.

5. Frequency of application

• Depending on the hoof's condition once or twice daily, until the desired effect is achieved.
  
• For severely affected frog grooves, you can apply HCE more frequently.
