HOOFGOLD BlueStuff was developed by hoof expert Olaf Optenplatz. He has worked on horse hooves every day for over 35 years. Together with his team, he has treated more than 1,000,000 hooves during this time. The following areas of application are based on this practical experience and show the situations in which BlueStuff is used in daily hoof care.
Why targeted treatment and care are important for thrush
Early treatment of thrush and consistent hoof care can be crucial. Typical signs include foul odor, dark areas in the frog, soft or damaged horn, and sensitive areas in the hoof. These changes are often caused by moisture, mud, poor stable hygiene, or inadequate ventilation of the frog.
How BlueStuff is used in daily hoof care
BlueStuff has been used by Olaf Optenplatz in his daily hoof practice for many years. The care product penetrates deep into the frog grooves, wets the hoof horn, and forms a protective barrier there. It therefore supports regular frog care, good hoof hygiene, and the care of hooves affected by thrush, decay, unpleasant odor, and soft horn.

Why frog care is so important
The frog plays an important role in the hoof's natural blood-pumping effect. When the hoof is loaded and lifted, it supports the supply of blood and nutrients to the lower limbs. If this area is impaired by thrush or other stress factors, it can place additional strain on hoof health.
Daily hoof practice repeatedly shows that regular cleaning, good hoof hygiene, and consistent care are crucial. That is why Olaf Optenplatz has used BlueStuff for many years to care for hooves affected by thrush, decay, unpleasant odor, and soft horn.

HOOFGOLD BlueStuff bears the recognized D-Siegel. This means that the product has been tested for doping-relevant substances and complies with ADMR requirements. It is therefore also suitable for horses competing in equestrian sports.

Ich habe BlueStuff zur Behandlung einer langwierigen Strahlfäule gekauft und bin zufrieden. Es lässt sich gut applizieren, und durch die Kriecheigenschaften verteilt es sich gut auch in engen Rissen und Spalten, so dass die Ausbreitung des Fäulnisprozesses wirksam gehemmt wird. Gesundes Hufhorn wächst langsam nach.

Hoofgold gives excellent Frog/ Strahl management with weekly application to both improve and maintain frog health. My pony suffered from Coronary band dystrophy( Corpnotis) and consequently his frog was decomposing from the inside outwards.
After lengthy treatmentwith cortisone cream from the vet alongside daily cleaning routines, we have succeeded and now use the hoof gold to maintain the health through weekly application on the frog area. He now enjoys a firm frog health and i have peace of mind that i have an excellent deterrent from future bacterial infections.

Nach dem Konsum von zwei Flaschen Hoofgold und dem ersten Termin beim Hufschmied haben wir eine deutliche Verbesserung festgestellt. Die Flasche ist mit einer praktischen Öse ausgestattet, die sich ideal für die Dosierung eignet und eine genaue Anwendung ermöglicht.
Allerdings muss ich anmerken, dass die Packungsgröße etwas zu klein ist. Dadurch hält das Produkt leider nicht besonders lange, was für regelmäßige Nutzer ein Nachteil sein könnte. Insgesamt sind wir aber mit den Ergebnissen zufrieden und werden Hoofgold weiterhin verwenden.

Für mich das Beste Mittel nach allen wo ich probiert habe, es kriecht regelrecht durch die Spalten und geht tief rein. Es trocknet schnell und die Flasche liegt gut in der Hand was ein dosiertes Anwenden erleichtert.

Wir haben ein Pferd mit Strahlfäule an allen 4 Hufen und an 2 Hufen Hufkrebs. Wir behandeln unseren Schatz seit Monaten mit BlueStuff und zusätzlich anderen Mitteln(für Hufe und Stoffwechsel ). Täglich! Alle 3-4 Wochen kommt der Schmied. Ergebnis: es wird besser, aber man braucht einen langen Atem.
Unser Pferd steht grundsätzlich im Offenstall, jetzt aber seit ca. 2 Monaten im trockenen Paddock.
